From a question to a useful file

A chat assistant for music, text and video files

Tell the assistant what you have and what you need back. It helps you choose a workflow, asks for the right inputs and brings the next tool into the conversation.

Start with the result you need

You do not need to know which subtitle format an editor accepts or which timing repair to try first. Say what is wrong, name the app you are using, or describe the file you need to deliver. The assistant asks for one input at a time.

  • Convert between timed-text formats such as LRC, SRT and VTT.
  • Shift captions that start too early or late, or adjust timing that drifts.
  • Prepare subtitles, editor files and downloadable format bundles.
  • Burn captions from an existing timing file into audio or video.

Keep the words, timing and destination connected

A useful conversion preserves more than a filename. Tell the assistant whether your source contains whole lines or individual words, which language the text uses and where you will play the result. It can explain the limitations before you choose an export.

Preview the file in its destination app. A caption that looks right in a text editor can still wrap, overlap or display differently in a video player.

Choose the specialist when your task is specific

LyricTimestamps is the dedicated workspace for automatic word-level lyric alignment and careful manual refinement. SongTimestamps is the dedicated workspace for song-start timestamps, DJ mix tracklists and compilation chapters. MusicTimestamps is the conversation around broader file and editing workflows.

Questions about this workflow

What can I ask the assistant to do?

Start with a caption conversion, timing repair, video caption workflow or editor export. Describe the input and desired result. If a task is unavailable here, the assistant can explain the limitation and help you choose another workflow.

Do I have to upload a file immediately?

No. You can explain the problem first. A conversion or preview will need its source file, and a video export needs the relevant media and timings.

Can a format conversion create missing word timings?

No. Converting a line-timed subtitle cannot recover the exact start of every word. For new word-level timing from a song and supplied lyrics, use LyricTimestamps.

Are all operations performed on my device?

No. Some file tools run in your browser, while chat messages are sent to the service. Alignment has its own upload workflow. Read the privacy page and the input step for the operation you are using.
